Vegan, Vegetarian, or Semi Vegetarian?

Farina is now a vegan. I admire her. I don’t know how long that will last, but her courage to start is already something. Considering how a 5 day selective detox program (I still ate white meat) nearly killed me mentally, someone going totally vegan really amazes me.

Maybe I should become a vegan. At least for two months, to help me put off some weight before my wedding day. Or maybe just become a vegetarian, since I can’t imagine not eating dairy products. Come to think of it, perhaps I can just be a semi vegetarian (is there such a thing?) like Lilian, my ex-SCB colleague.. she still eats seafood.. hmm.. Now I bet you’re getting the feeling that the thought of me being a vegan, vegetarian, semi-vegetarian will not be realized in the end.. ^^;;;

Well, one thing for sure, I don’t think I am as courageous as Farina to take that drastic measure of being a vegan. And I think I still love meat and seafood too much to even become a semi vegetarian instantly, so here’s what I’ll do. Starting tomorrow I’ll start doing that Boots 5-day detox plan I got for my last birthday, and see how it goes from there. FYI: that 5 day thing also requires me to be a vegan, but only for 5 days. The last time I cheated a bit (as mentioned above, I still ate white meat), but this time I’ll do it the way it was meant to be. No cheating.

We’ll see how it goes after that. If I’m lucky, after the detox, aside from losing a few pounds, I just might be able to continue the vegan thing without being mentally depressed. Let’s just see.

Wish me luck, people!

It's really not that hard, dear! :-) Let me take you to lunch to eat stuffs the vegan way, guaranteed you'll never go back. Haha.

And yes, there's such a thing called semi vegetarian, maybe you can try that too. But I'll say, just go for veganism. Only till the wedding!
